Considering the recent resurgence in demand for OTA broadcasting as Roku, Amazon Fire TV, and other streaming devices are being bundled with HDTV antennas with some success, it is good to see the FCC making the rules to allow broadcasters to get into the 4K game by offering ATSC 3.0 signals. They still have to broadcast the same content using ATSC 1.0, and they have to inform the public about the offering and other changes, but it looks like it might happen where the market is demanding it. Unlike the transition to DTV with ATSC 1.0, they are not forcing all licensed broadcasters to adopt it by a specific deadline.
