FCC Ruling

Well Directv is raising their rates and read on Yahoo that DishTV was voted the worst company to work for (seems employees compared working there as working for Satan himself). Seems like in any recession the major providers love giving it to the common man.

Wish cable and sat providers would allow us to pick and choose the channels we want and charge us accordingly.

Still loving my free OTA. Have been enjoying for years....just wish College Football would drop Bowl coverage by way of ESPN, ESPN2, etc.

Yeah...

Sports events and whole-house DVR are the primary reasons I pay for TV. It's hard to imagine that the model is going to change though. ESPN and ABC are owned by the same company so it just makes sense for them to have much of the "premium" sports content on their pay channels to drive traffic and customers. The exception of course are the HUGE events like the World Series and Super Bowl which will always be on channles with the most possible viewers and thus an OTA channel.
