I don't know how many of you have been catching Galavant... we talked about it a bit at the STL GTG yesterday and I think I was the only one who has been watching it.
It's a 4 week deal on ABC network. It's a musical comedy (yes, they burst into song), but is generally really well done. As in laugh out loud well done. There's cameos from a wide array of actors and every part is played well. The writing is outstanding- the jokes fit in well and the songs are some of the best comedy in it. The comedy is more in line with the older farce comedy (say, Airplane or Mel Brooks movies) than today's gross-out/embarrassment type comedy... that's right in my wheelhouse, so we're loving it.
It's been airing Sunday nights but you can also see it on the ABC app on various streaming devices too.
Just to whet your appetite, the second night (they show it as 8 half hour episodes, but ABC has been airing them two per night in a one hour block) the "recap" song involved the lyric "She's been tilting slightly bitchward." Good stuff.
