I just read that starting Dec 13, 2012 a new rule enacted by the FCC bans commercials from being any louder than the program they accompany.
If I have time later, I'll look on the FCC site & see if its true & any other cool rules...
 
Uh... what about those motorcycles or so called Chopper with "no" muffler? :confusion-shrug:
 
Hope it's as effective as the national "do not call" regulations.

I think all those shows are finally being cancelled.
 
Looks like they're actually implementing this. I fell asleep with the TV on and my AV system on and it pretty much kept the same volume throughout the night. I used to wake up when early morning commercials come in.
