Must admit I'd never heard of that band before.

The first time through, Draiman's voice set off all sorts of "familiarity alarms" but I couldn't pin it down. Then I listened to it again and it came to me: he sounds very similar (in many ways: elocution, pacing, phrasing, etc.) to The Crash Test Dummies' Brad Roberts, and Superman's Song in particular.


Of course the Disturbed cover got me pining for the original. Here's a version that I really like.


And of course this whole thread got me wondering about any other covers out there.

Here's someone I had never heard of also, Nouela, who gives an amazingly chilling version. I just ordered her album Chants, as a result, even though Silence is not on it.


I have (obviously) heard (and in fact seen live) Passenger. Here's his take on it.


I could go on (this is fun!) but I'll wrap it up with this one, by Celtic Thunder - which stays closest to the original.
