Saw the blurb about this over at Yahoo, but didn't realize there was video of it. Talk about scary for all involved! Not sure what kind of waivers one has to sign before going on a jump, but I wonder if we're nonetheless possibly looking at a lawsuit?

It was on the CBS news tonight, and at the very end they said it happened ten years ago, only now is the FAA investigating it... ? :think:

I'm pretty sure they used high quality expensive cameras that first year. They only switched to the cheap personal cameras after Simon cowell left the show.

I think you misunderstood, it happened a year ago but she had wanted to skydive for 10 years.

The octogenarian, Laverne Everett said skydiving was something she had wanted to do for at least ten years, however it didn’t go the way she planned, CBS Sacramento reports.

Though the dive happened last May, the video was just recently posted on YouTube for all the see. It’s now gone viral with almost 150,000 views after being posted for only two days.
