Both my brothers are Marines and they tell me (if you guys have seen Full Metal Jacket), that when they were in the Corps, it was just like the movie except you had about 5 drill instructors screaming at you instead of one.
FYI: For those that don't know, R Lee Emery (a real life drill instructor) wrote an apology letter to the USMC after the making of the film Full Metal Jacket because he felt that movie put the Marine Corps in a bad light.
