HDMI 2.1 = 8K Video + Variable Refresh Rate

i can only see this being beneficial to people with projector based systems. They say you can't tell the difference between 1080p and 4K unless your sitting with three feet of the screen.

Meh ... I believe I can tell a difference between 1080p and 4K at around 10' on 70" screen. But I get what your saying. I only posted because I'm just getting a grip on the current flavor of HDMI
 
I was more interested in the fact that the new HDMI format allows for like 32 seperate channels of sound for object based audio.
