Heard of Kristina Train?

I am sitting in the club lounge at the Renaissance in Shanghai working on my notebook PC and watching the small & clumpy low flying clouds roll in over the massive city and dumping massive amounts of water on the people 60 stories below. The music playing over the PA is mostly the techno-euro-lounge junk you expect to hear in a trendy and stylish upscale hotel. But then this song comes on which reminds me of the great Norah Jones, but it has a different vibe and character that makes me want to hear it over and over.

So I whip out my handy Dell VenuePro smartphone (which works perfectly in China) and fire up the Shazam app and discover the song I am hearing isn't Norah, but instead a new artist, Kristina Train. I loved it, so I bough the CD. I hope I continue to love it after I listen to the copy I paid $10 for.

By the way... I called her a "new" artist above. The album was released in 2009 - that's hardly new. She is new to me.

Nope, I've not heard of her either. But since I can get it (used) for <$5 shipped from amazon here in the good 'ole USA  I went ahead and ordered a copy as well.
