Anyone seen Hell on wheels?

its on sale for around 21 clams, but unsure if i should buy it or not.

id love to see more bout it, but dont want to lose out on the sale.

any input folks?

personal opinions?

i loved deadwood after a second round of viewing, and/or bypassing the cussin.

thanks guys!

I liked Hell On Wheels a lot, not as much as Deadwood of course. However I don't really want to re-watch it but I will tune in for next season if they have one. I would buy it and if you don't like it enough to keep it, just re-gift to a relative or someone like MattB.

hehehe. not a bad idea. i think i might consider 'renting' the first episode first.

thanks titanium!

Hell on Wheels is streaming free on netflix,

watched the first episode.

not as promising as deadwood, but we have to understand this is a completely different beast, different era, different er... western.

like comparing magnificent seven and how the west was won. two different 'kinds' of western.

im going to continue watching the series. definitely glad its streaming!

I watched the first episode on AMC but I couldn't get into it.

Saw it was on NF streaming so I will be watching sometime in the future.

before i forget, i just finished the entire first season with this one....

thoughts were pretty much what i wasnt hoping for.

its a great storyline, but somewhere in the midst of things, it got lost. it delayed things to a point where i didnt know what happened to Mr. Bohannon. He became a boss man, but didnt have the 'urge' to hunt down the other people. it lagged a little, and sidetracked to a point i didnt care.

i also thought that the love stories in the series are definitely trying to play on the deadwood series. sadly it aint turning out better.

they're becoming a town now.

then i guess this wouldnt be hell on wheels anymore.

im going to see what season two has to offer, and then see if id like to continue or not. if not, will try out 'alpha'.
