This was one of my Black Friday purchases, on Bluray; it wasn't on sale but it sounded interesting so I ordered it.
THE GOOD: This is along the lines of the BBC's "Earth" and "Life" videos. Music is incredible, but most of the video is taken from planes/helicopters, and done with a very visual eye. If you're a photographer, you will love this. The ending credits were great; they had a brief aerial view of a bunch of countries, played alphabetically. Good stuff!
THE BAD: I know there's a lot of folks here who don't believe in Global Warming. You won't like this, but I sure urge you to at least rent this one once. The first third of the film looks a lot like "Earth", showing how beautiful this rock really is. The second third shows the influence of Man, the pollution, and has some pretty scary statistics, it'll make you think. The final third was uplifting, showing many efforts around the globe to go Green successfully.
For me, anyway, worth paying full price. :handgestures-thumbup: :handgestures-thumbup: :handgestures-thumbup:
