Janis Ian's Johnny I Hardly Knew Ye

Janis Ian's, Johnny I Hardly Knew Ye. Sung, a cappella is the best anti-war song I have ever heard. Ironic as it is a different version of When Johnny Comes Marching Home, a rather pro war song. If I may make a suggestion when you first listen to the song, try it first by not looking at the gruesome video. I think it distracts from the song, and their is a pic of George W. Bush towards the end. While not a big fan of his, this song was written long ago and can be applied to all war or wars.

To simply make political football out of it takes away from Ian's emotional power and singing. This is a very sad song :( Oh by the way I found this song on Pandora's Protest Radio
