Bit of a disaster in North Salt Lake this morning. Due to a heavy rain and some ill-advised excavation, the mountainside slid down and destroyed a home and damaged a pool/tennis complex. Clonk the lonk, then click on "Time Lapse" block inside the "Featured Videos" black box (couldn't find a separate URL): http://www.kutv.com The local news crew set up a camera to take the time-lapse, and you can see them retracting the boom on their truck and finding a different parking spot in the video. Wow.
EDIT: the story was on CNN today, here: http://www.hlntv.com/video/2014/08/06/landslide-crushing-home-utah?hpt=hln10_7
Still wish I could post the slo-mo they filmed of the mountain itself moving, was pretty amazing.
