Last chance for a HDTV deal?

Looks like several TV manf. are trying to move to a fixed pricing model to give a break to brick and mortar stores vs their online competitors. Of course if they don't stick to their guns this could all go out the window. Also this is the time of year the new models come out and the last years go on sale
.

It is on Yahoo SHOPPING. Sounds like an attempt to move old stock.

It's legit. Samsung made the announcement in January or February that they would begin doing this with the release of their 2012 models. Soon after, Sony (and another company which escapes me right now) announced they'd be doing the same.

Then again, it could be reminiscent of the Y2K bullshit.

I'm pretty sure once those OLED models hit the stores in Sept/Oct, everything will be "on sale" everywhere.

Fixed. :angelic-green:

I don't know, if I could afford OLED and wanted one, I'd buy it. I think the price difference will be great enough whether everything else is on sale or not, to steer people towards a less expensive model if OLED is out of reach... :twocents-mytwocents:

Luckily, here in Canada, Section 61 of the Competition Act makes such behaviour illegal.

Those coming up for The Great Canadian GTG 1.0 should bear that in mind when thinking about "things to spend my money on while vacationing in Canada" this coming July! :)
