Anyone into Les Mis?

Reason im asking is because i saw it the other day on pbs, and loved the 25th anniversary version. BUT prefer the whole shebang on this one, thus looking into purchasing the 10th anniversary instead.

Anyone have it? thoughts?

Wierdly enough, i fell in love with this during high school, and performed this back when i was a junior. This and a couple other stage productions. Fun stuff.

Yeah, love it. My personal preference is for the 3-CD "complete symphonic" recording, which as far as I know, is still the only one that is actually truly complete; but of course that's just an audio recording, not a video. I haven't seen any vids of this...

which one pauly? amazon?

i prefer a dvd, but if ever, i think i can give that a shot too...

wierd thing is i remember how 'incomplete' one version was, and they got a good amount of feedback on that one.

As far as I can tell, mine is the same as this one, though mine's an older (1990) release without the "enahanced cd" with images.

But there are lots of opinions and arguments about which recording is best, they have different casts... I don't know if there a definitive answer to that. All I can say is I like this one a lot, and it is complete.

When they announced the upcoming Les Miserable musical film, I was very excited. Then they announced that Taylor Swift beat out Lea Michelle for the role of Eponine and my hopes somewhat dimmed. Les Mis is my favorite musical of all time.

going to buy this soon, but i also stumbled on something while listening to Pandora (yes, i built a les mis station).... and heard for the first time - Wicked.

Amazing voice, and if im not mistaken, the girls from Rent i think. I dunno. Anyways, its pretty interesting, too bad theres no dvd for this one. *sigh*

id love to see this in person, too bad we dont have a decent broadway production here...

I saw the International Cast at the Seoul Opera House when I lived in Korea. It was AMAZING.
