Im very much looking forward to this Movie about Operation Redwing in the Hindu Kush Mountain Range. The book was excellent and Mark Luttrel the lone survivor of a 4 man Seal Team sent out on intelligence gathering operation to find a Taliban Warlord responsible for multiple Marine deaths. They were to gather information if he was in the Village but found that instead of expecting 10 Taliban the found 200 or more. So they were gonna hideout in the day and observe then sneak out at night. Instead they were compromised by a Sheepherder and his son. They had to make a moral decision whether to put down the threat and sneak away. Or let them go seeling there fate to 4 against 100s. A very emotional book that is riveting like Blackhawk Down.
Mark Luttrel the only survivor spent nearly 2 years interviewing Directors making sure this story got told as it happened and not Hollywooded up. He said he owed it to his buddies to tell there story. He settled on Peter Berg hope this is good and lives up to the book as it had a very good story. Also 1 Medal of Honor was awarded posthumously but for what these guys did taking on these Taliban who had the high ground is extraordinary all 4 should have one. Trust me if you like this sort of thing the book Lone Survivor is one hell of a read.
