Morel Speakers

I'd not heard of Morel before, but a guy I know may become a dealer. Any comments on the brand? Where do they rank in price and product hierarchy?

They produce some of the finest raw transducers in the world. When I was designing my main speakers, I put a no-budget limit goal on the tweeters I would use. I purchased top end tweeters from a dozen companies and measured and listened to them for an extended period. Morel's Surpeme tweeter won the battle hands down for realism, dynamics, smoothness, and raw accuracy.

I also love their high end mid-woofers.

They are a little weak on Home grade hi-fi full on woofers (operating from 30Hz to 300Hz).

For car audio there are few companies which can compete.

Interesting. He's got JM Labs Car Audio right now. Pretty cool about the tweeter. Is that what you're using in your system right now?

Yep... All of my audionut guests have praised the treble sound of my system - while I tune it to be a little softer than common commercial speakers, it is more detailed, natural, and realistic than anything I've heard.
