Mr. Speaker's factory tour and a Electrostatic HP with an 88mm driver

Cool video in geeky sort of way, they start out with my favorite headphone the Voce. They go into some depth about all the design features and choices that went into making it. They even have 3 different head phone filters you place inside the HP, to damp down the high frequencies as you like. In person the owner was very nice and had that laid back southern California disposition.

During the factory tour they go into a Level 1 Clean Room, to make the Voce electrostatic HP. The only negative in the video, is the close ups of Tyll Hertsens, where your looking up into his nose and see his nose hairs.

Their R&D, prototyping, engineering, manufacturing and QC is pretty impressive to see under one roof, and so well organized. I know all that capability and equipment is murderously expensive to have and maintain. The last company I worked at tried to acquire a good chunk of that capability and it pretty much ran them out of business. Makes ATI seem pretty anemic by comparison. I'm impressed (almost wish they were more local-looks like a great place to work.....).

I've listened through headphones, but somehow the experience doesn't suit me. I wish that wasn't the case, because the sound quality itself is impressive.
