Wow, pretty sure my folks took me to see this when I was a kid in the 70's.

They were on TV in the 1970s. I remember that variety show with the couple who mimed like robots that ran for a couple of seasons. I cannot remember their name, but they looked like mannequins and moved like robots and managed to turn that into a 60 minute variety show. They brought these French guys, Mummenschanz on halfway through the first season.
