Netflix is raising rates, again

Flint

Prodigal Son
Superstar
Rumors are an email to subscribers is coming in October announcing the price changes.

thanks flint, i saw the google news tab on it.

curiously, i am on the 7.99 rate i think, and currently have HD streaming. does this mean when the new rates apply, will they 'remove' the HD streaming and have to upgrade if i wanted it?

They have grandfathered some accounts in the past, so some people haven't been paying the retail rate.

The new plans have three tiers: SD, HD and UHD. That's all I know.

They are raising the prices by $2 across the board, so UHD with 4 concurrent streams will be $14. This puts them at roughly the same price as HBO.

thanks haywood.

this sucks, a bit. well, its been a good run considering how they couldve raised it earlier, and/or prior to all these shows they have been pushing out.

i just want my golden girls and im dropping cable.
