New 43" for my Mother

My mom is getting a TV in a 43" size. She's limited to stores where she is at so she's going with Best Buy. Of the sub $300 or slightly above units in 43" size, what unit is recommended? Both her Samsung and my older Samsung has had issues. So should I avoid another and go with another brand? Thanks

I got a 43" TCL (w/ Roku built in) for less than $200. It's in my kitchen/breakfast area.
Works like a charm.
