No surround processing at all

I have an old Harmon Kardon AVR 35 in my garage system. the only processing that works on it is bypass. With bypass I can plug in an analog 2 channel source like an Ipod and get music. The right channel is distorted by I think its the speaker. I am switching out speakers right now to see if that is the issue.

Until then my question is this. I can't hook up a sub and use dolby prologic because when I switch to this the music is sooo quite it almost doesn't register. Like it is only using the milliamps coming from the source. Ay thought?

Never mind. I hooked up the jbl's and the receiver is shot. Off to the recycling center.
