Why so sad? The events 14 years ago pulled the nation together in a way it desperately needed. To me that monument instills pride and courage, not sadness. Of course we suffered a terrible loss with so many first responders and citizens gone, but I don't mourn them anymore. I smile because of what we've been able to accomplish since then. The new One World Trade Center is a symbol of strength and perseverance.
