I'm getting a strange result when I set "down-mix" on my 980H to 7.1. My Oppo is connected to my Onkyo by HDMI on my 7.1 system. I can stream DSD to my Onkyo for decoding fine with down-mix set to either 5.1 or 7.1. The strange thing is that on stereo recordings, my Onkyo displays "multi-channel PCM" and outputs 5.1. In my untreated room, this gives more of a concert hall effect. Very strange but I think I like it.
