Oppo PM-1 First Listen

First off this is not a complete review but it's better than nothing. Price tag by the way is $1,099 so at least we know that now. FYI, I thought the Audeze LCD-3 which this is compared too was kinda of boomy in the bass. However I loved the imaging from the way it's angle is toed inward.

Truly hope I can hear a comparison at the next audio show I attend! We have a great audio show here in So. Cal every year and I'm sure it will be there for comparison.... well... I hope that is! Looks promising!

At that price there is some serious competition.

The PM-1's big selling point is their sensitivity. The majority of orthos (HE-6 power hog) are damn hard to drive. Unless your using a good traditional amp with headtaps.

Someone willing to pay that much for headphones is more then likely to have a proper setup anyways, amp and all.

Won't pass judgement till I hear them, but at that price they better be stellar.
