I've been a fan of Vai for only about 10 years. I like Satriani more, been a fan since the late 80's , have all of his stuff I think. (Vai was a student of Joe)

I don't know his entire HUGE history of who he toured with (many, many bands) but I knew he toured with Zappa (70's, early 80's??)
