Outlaw keeps tempting me by sending emails about the the 2 channel RR2150.

Sale price is $599, $140 off regular price with free shipping.

I have two speakers that I was thinking of pairing with my old Sony STR DE945 5.1 receiver for a 2 channel system in one of the bedrooms I figure on turning into a small library/reading room but this is really calling out to me.

Definitely could find better use for the money right now.

This is one of the best 2 channel receivers I've seen. I've recommended it many, many times. It has ALL of the bells and whistles you could want at a great price. Ipod, phono, pre-outs, sub(s) out and on and on and on.

If I needed a 2 channel rig, I would not hesitate to get THIS one.

Keep us posted,

Dammit Dennie you're supposed to talk me out of it. :angry-banghead: :happy-smileygiantred:

With the 990 and the old Sony sitting idle I am going to feel really guilty if I spend the money.

Yeah, I know that's what you were looking for, but I have to speak the truth!!! :text-imsorry: As I said, if I were looking for a 2 channel receiver, this one would be at the top of my list.

It looks like you've got some gear to sell!!

In general I like this receiver.

I have a buddy who has a few of them in use in a number of listening rooms. They sound just like any other competent receiver that I have heard. (They all sound the same to me in straight stereo listening situations.) Seems to have all the (real) power one would need for most speakers / rooms for all but insane listening levels (or highly inefficient speakers.)

I also like that it's a 2.1 set-up.

I was thinking of buying one for myself but one thing stopped me from pulling the trigger: no HDMI input. As I "move forward" with any gear purchases (receivers, BD players, etc.) a common "must" will be HDMI capability. I know that this is a stereo (ie. pretty much sound-only) receiver, but I still like the notion of connecting a single universal player / streaming device (like my new $138 Sony BD player) to a receiver via a single HDMI cable.

I know that that's not what Outlaw intended and I know it's not a deciding factor for all but probably me.

Otherwise I'd probably buy one.

Just got an email from Outlaw.

They are offering B-stock RR2150's for $599 with free shipping for the next week.

After having used mine for about a month it gets my highest recommendation for anyone interested in 2 channel

(especially when paired with Focal v814s :happy-smileygiantred: )
