Panasonic:2011 Kuro level black & 1200 pps

Panasonic has updated their 2011 tv's to have Kuro level blacks and to for improved motion control gone from 800 pixels per second to 1200. My 2010 Panny is outdated already, argghh, the pain, the pain :angry-cussingblack: I havent even hooked it up yet, just got the back ordered screws and bolt for the stand in the other day. :cry: Technology waits for no one, as it marches onward.

We expect technology to overtake our new toys, but before you could even turn it on?!?!??! Oof-dah. :|
 
i have purchased the P55GT30... it not here yet what is holding up my order is the salamander rack. the all hardware is in. i hope by next week it will be up and running.. i demoed the vt25 and it matches all black levels i've seen including my Mitsu RPTV.. may it RIP.. i expect great perfomance from the GT series...

I think that you are bumming out for no reason!!!!

Your new Panny will perform perfectly. IF, you were to place the new 2011 next to your 2010, you MAY notice a difference or you may not.

SO.............Enjoy your new toy and don't sweat the small stuff!!
 
So the black levels compare as follows:

ST30 = G/GT25
GT30 = VT25
VT30 = KURO

There is no official word on if these models suffer from rising black levels over time (like the 2009/2010 models). If the have eliminated the rising black issue, I'd say this is awesome news!

I own a 50GT25 by the way. I got mine for about the price of a 32 inch LCD so this news doesn't affect my upgraditis in anyway. :D
