Possible ground loop?

Hey guys I moved my headphone amp and dock to the other side of my room and now my amp has a low level hum in the left channel. I tried switching all the tubes and the hum stays in the left channel.

So ground loop? Or do I possibly have a bigger problem?

That's kinda weird. Only in one channel? Does it go away if you move the rig back to the original location?

I occasionally get a hum in my setup, but it seems it's a static electricity thing - if I touch the amp case or the headphone jack and the wall or the (metal) rack the gear is in, it will go away.

I haven't moved it yet, got busy with my pups (one has been sick and there are multiple pills involved) but I plan on moving it tomorrow to see if it stops. God I hope it's just some kind of interference and not my WOO.

Just in one channel? Sounds like a cable thing, as I'd expect any system-wide issue to appear in both channels.

That, or a spider laid eggs in your left ear canal
(sowwy, I just read something like that on a news site)
:scared-eek:
