Anyone familiar with this brand of amp? A friend is looking at this one:

Pyle Home PCAU44 Mini 2x120 Watt Stereo Power Amplifier with USB & CD Input

.Pyle was a big player in automotive audio and a few pro audio offerings.

There are (pardon the pun) piles of Pyle amps at pawnshops everywhere. I associate the brand with "cheap". That said for background outdoor party use I'm sure it's fine.

I put the brand in the same class as Yorx, GPX, Fischer, etc...

The do make cheaper PA stuff. http://www.parts-express.com/brand/pyle-audio/158 They are something Ashley would fill up his 90 sq. ft. room with.

For serious / critical audio stuff, your friend may want to try something with higher reputation.

Thanks guys.

I have recommended several 2 channel amps of higher quality including an Onkyo 2 channel amp. What he decides to do is up to him. He rarely accepts advice though he is constantly asking for it.
