This new tech is supposed to be displayed (har) at the CES this (next?) month. Supposedly a step up from regular LED, but not quite as good as LG's OLED, although if it doesn't have the burn-in issued the OLEDs do, it might be a contender.

I have an LG OLED TV and love it.

Not sure what you mean by burn in issue. Mine is on a lot and no burn in issues

Something I've read, if that's not the case, great! How long have you had your set, Jeff?

It struck me that I could see the difference between a 4K set and whatever preceded it, side-by-side, if I got within 2' of the screens. I could see the side-by-side difference with an OLED from clear across the Best Buy. :thumbsup:

Interesting. Wonder how it compares to Samsung's QLED. While the OLEDs are indeed gorgeous, when I was shopping I had a hard time spotting that much difference between QLED and OLED in the store- could easily be that the OLED wasn't set up properly and the QLED was, but OLED also commands a very premium price.
 
i loved my LG tv, it wasnt OLED of course, but it was great for what it was. it was the last 3D capable 4k TV made at 65 inches.
