Replacement Earpads for Older Denon Headphones

I've posted on a number of occasions about one of my favourite sets of (very) inexpensive headphones, the Denon AH-D210, and I've let members listen to them at a number of GTGs.

They are long discontinued but I've managed to acquire two other working pairs, plus some spare parts, in addition to my original pair.

When I travel with Gen I take two pairs with us, for when we want to watch the same thing off the tablet or computer at the same time.

Anyhow, one of the things that eventually goes are the ear pads. The covering material eventually cracks and flakes off, and the foam starts to deteriorate. Nobody carries Denon-original replacements any more.

However I just came across an eBay buy-it-now sale for new non-OEM replacements for this exact model and just ordered two pairs of pads for $22.00 - delivered.

The pads came yesterday.

At first I almost freaked-out because they came direct from China. I missed that connection when I hit buy-it-now.

Feeling like quite a rotten A/V whore, I opened the box. The pads looked like the OEM version. It took all of a minute to swap out a pair on one set of headphones. They fit and feel as good as OEM as well.

It's always a good feeling when you update an old favorite (or favourite).
