I have been playing around with my system discovering things I should have noticed earlier.
My displau is a 65" LG OLED 4K HDR. I have been wanting to check the resolution that is being displayed with different content but cannot find anything in the dispaly controls that tells me the resolution being diplayed.
On my reciver there i a ay to check the incoming signal and the resulting outgoing signal ( all my video is passed thru my receiver) Om content I know is 4k it will show
"4k:60Hz > 4k:60Hz" meaning the signal going into the receiver is 4k@60Hz and the outgoing signal is the same.
On content I know is not 4K it will often show the same thing 4k:60Hz>4k:60Hz. This signal is being transmitted from a Roku Ultran which does upscaling. So does this mean that a 1080p ssignal is being upscaled to 4k by the Roku before it is sent to the reciver?
