When not listening to metal I am occasionally a fan of the 80's New Order/Depeche Mode/Killing Joke/Cure sound having grown up hearing a whole lot of it in middle and high school. Found this channel on Sonos called Infinite Darkness which plays a lot of it old and new. Didn't realize there was a whole retro post punk/new wave revival music scene. This Mexican band is my favorite so far. Pretty much nails the sound. This song is from 2022 but might as well have been recorded in 1982.

 
man, i used to be big on new wave, since it was a very intense time in the philippines (it was around marcos era) so we needed some sort of silver lining. i'll be looking at this thread later on

Another great song/band discovered on this Infinite Darkness channel... Chelsea Wolfe has some strong Tom Yorke vocal vibes with a touch of Angel Olsen...


Equally good live band which is always a good sign...
