I almost posted that here a few times. I just wish the drums didn't dominate the mix. I can't hear the other instuments.

Looks like the guys at the robotics lab had a little extra time on their hands.

Yeah... someone took the time and resources to build a 4 armed drumming robot, a hydraulic boot wearing lead guitar robot and a bass playing robot on freaking tank treads and making the head move was a waste of energy.

Man, you guys are being much too critical. To me, that adds to the wow factor. All three were awesome, but Compressorhead was my favorite of the three. The only thing I didn't like, as already mentioned, was the drums' overdominating the mix. I really wanted to hear the guitar and bass. I wished the cameraman would have gotten in closer too as I wanted to see the playing a bit more detailed.


With the Japanese video, The standing robot with the trumpet reminded me of Miles.

Must be how the robot's legs are slightly bowed out.

That band is missing something, a vocal. They could balance things out with female voice...

What I was trying to say was, if the maker had time and material to work on head banging, he could have rerouted that to developing human like fingers for the guitar-bot. The bass guitar-bot already does.

I would like to see them remix the video to where you can hear the other instruments better. What would also be cool is have multiple shots of each bot playing.
