Ron Paul keynote speech in Michigan

I will be voting for Ron Paul in the Michigan primary tomorrow, despite my new found fears that Santorum will beat out Romney for the ultimate nomination. I pretty much despise Santorum on a cellular level. If it came down to Santorum vs Obama, I would probably do a write-in for Ron Paul or vote 3rd party.
 
How is it a total nutjob like Santorum is even being considered? I am convinced Republicans are completely batshit crazy.

Aside from Ron Paul, is this really the best our countries educational institutions can generate? How can we attract qualified people to run for the office of president? Not just educated, but people with ethics and moral fiber who believe the constitution and bill of rights are there for a reason, other than pissing all over them, and regulating the people of a free country they no longer have freedoms or liberty. They continue to regulate and control our lives on a day-to-day basis by ignoring the constitution and bill of rights.
