The first movie (didn't have a roman numeral) is the only flick I've seen twice in a theater (alone the first time, with a 6'2" blonde beautiful amazon the second).
And in the final scene of III showed the double suns of Tatooine, decades of my life later, I felt like I've never felt before, wow. This new trilogy will be an experience; I just hope I live long enough to see all three. :music-rockout:

Re: Seven. Seven!! Just, f*cking SEVEN!!!!

You know, I still have not seen any of the second gen Star Wars, episodes 1. 2, or 3. But, somehow I wanna see this already.

1 you won't miss. It's worthwhile if you're a big Star Wars geek, but there's nothing story wise you NEED from it. 2 and 3 get a worse rap than is deserved; yeah, Anakin and Padme turn in generally wooden performances and the story doesn't seem to progress a whole heck of a lot (and yeah, there's a few "Geez, really?" moments), but for the most part I found them entertaining and worthwhile.

7, I can't wait.

Re: Seven. Seven!! Just, f*cking SEVEN!!!!

The audio on the Pod Race sequence in Episode 1 is pretty sick.

Re: Seven. Seven!! Just, f*cking SEVEN!!!!

Hat's off to Lucas, finally made something new. I won't miss it, he needs the money.

Lucas had nothing to do with this movie. He had nothing to do with the writing (he gave ideas that were shot down). Disney controls everything now.

I am excited for this as well! I am curious to see how the Empire is still around after the deaths of both the Emperor and Darth Vader. Somebody posted an internet meme with Ace Ventura that pointed out a scene where you can see somebody of great importance on a stage in the background, overlooking a massive clone army.

Ok another thought on that is the Storm Troopers (clones) were ordered and paid for by the JEDI.

They started out in movie two working with the JEDI. So it is possible that they have turned full circle and now they are back under the Senate and JEDI leadership.

It looks really great! One of the aspects of this film I really appreciate is they've gone out of their way to make this film look like the original trilogy...everything is worn & dated, mechanical & industrial. Aside from the crappy storylines, there was a real disconnect for me watching the prequels in that they looked nothing like the originals. Lucas can throw verbiage around like "golden age of the Jedi" etc etc etc...I personally didn't care for it.

I'm guessing that's why the teaser states "Lucasfilms LTD.?"

Disney buys Lucasfilm for $4 billion

Yeah, Lucasfilm and its properties are now wholly owned by Disney. George Lucas, although his name is still on it, he's out of it. Fox still has distribution rights to the original Star Wars movie, but I'd not be shocked if Disney tries to buy that off them eventually.

Introducing BB-8. It's not CGI, that's cool.

:eusa-clap:

When the first teaser hit there was an interview with Mark Hamil and he leaked about that BB8 was a practical effect.

Can't wait for this movie.
