First we saw five people play one guitar (Walk Off the Earth covering "Somebody That I Used To Know"). Here is Kelley James and five other dudes each playing a one string guitar.

Just in case you missed Walk Off The Earth...http://theaudioannex.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=56&t=3946

Cool find, thanks!

It kinda cracked me up that only one of the guitarists fretted with one finger; all the others had to "finger" the full chord or at least lay more than one finger on the single string.

That tune could make for a very interesting 5.1 mix... :shhh:

I am not impressed. Percussion ensembles and drum corps do that sort of thing all the time. All of the nation tens of thousands of high school, college and amateur drum corps have bass drums sections where one drummer carries one bass drum tuned to a specific pitch and there are anywhere from 4 to 8 bass drummers each with a different pitched drum. They play music which is a million times more interesting, complex, and challenging than anything in that video. Heck... the principle in the video is no different than a brass section in a band where a dozen, or so, players each get to play one note at a time and altogher they make very complex and dense music. Choirs, symphonies, bands, and all. It is a silly to think that six people each playing one string on a guitar and thus make a sound identical to one person playing a six string guitar is pretty basic considering that real musicians have done that sort of thing for centuries.

If you like the music, great! Enjoy it. But please don't be impressed by the guitar playing.

I'm not impressed by the playing; it's a simple tune. The Walk Off The Earth act with 5 people playing one guitar was much more impressive (and a much better song). I just thought it was kinda creative.

Sorry. I didn't realize that posting a little video would offend your musical sensibilities.

I kept thinking the whole time, the song's screwed if a couple of them break a string.

Pretty cool find T7!

Oh come on, man. Me saying you shouldn't appreciate any song is like me telling you that you're an idiot for liking beer. Clearly I need meds, or something. Just ignore me or kick me in the nuts and send me on my way.

I volunteer to kick him in the nuts.

One of you other guys can send him on his way...
