Snagged another set of cans....

Well I decided it was time to get back into music so I picked up a new set of Edrums and with that purchase also got a pair of HD280's. Gonna put them through the paces with my headphone rig as well as my theater before using em with the new kit. Im interested to see how they compare to the 650's and 595's.

More to follow.....

First impressions of the HD280's.......... really good with the drums but not impressed with them with the rig. More later after I do some serious listening.

My favorite headphones for eDrums are the Grado SR60 and SR80 and the Sony MDR7506. Those models tend to feel like they have more punch and impact - enahnced dynamics, if you will - than most of the other great headphones out there.

Bad thing about the Grados though is that they are not closed cans. I want to listen at lower levels while I play so as not to further damage my hearing.

Picked up an ALESIS DM10X with a DW5000 double pedal and added an extra cymbal. Love the kit so far and the module is really REALLY good. I am gonna download a custom kit when I have time but for now there are about a hundred to play with. I am also considering a mesh head upgrade, seems as though the set is supposed to be even quieter with the mesh heads.
