SVS kept the purist's "2nd order", 12dB/octave sealed box formula, but put their world-famous woofers, and more real-world power behind them than ever before, and in a smarter way.

The new SB-13 Plus is an acousitc suspension model with a 1,000 watt digital amp, measures 17.9 x 17.4 x 17.4, and weighs 95 lbs

It's not really that big a deal, but I would love to have something smaller than my PB12/ plus2. The bad thing is I dont even have WAF problems. It is in the basement so she dont care.

One of the newer 13" models (PB13 plus or SB13 plus) would be nice, but I can't justify spending the money when I have a perfectly competent behemoth sub in the basement already.

Man SVS needs a new site. That site sucks so bad from a flow standpoint. And Ialso see that they are no longer offering their art line any more. That didn't take too long.
 
Maximo, I read over at AVS that Ed Mullen says they took some of their subs off site, because they are back ordered and he felt it wasn't wise to list a sub on the site that they couldn't deliver in a timely manner. So while they get back up to par they took off a few listings and will put them back up when they get re-stocked.
 
At $1,550 this sub is a bit overpriced to me.

The S&V test I saw rated it's performance @ 8 (10 being the best)

. . . . and sales/popularity are yet to be seen.

I didn't pay that much for my PB-13U. While I'm sure that this sub is nice, I doubt very seriously if it's in the same league as the Ultra or 2 of the Hsu 15"ers like Robin's boyfriend...er...I mean Batman has.
