i didnt want to post this on the movie thread simply because i might end up spoiling stuff on there, so to devoid of any of that possible here, i will keep it at a minimum and well, we can integrate this later on if need be...
id love to know your thoughts on this movie, and since we just recently saw it in the theaters, i thought it was amazing.
i saw it digital, no 3d and it was early morning. theater was packed but we came in early enough to get the best seats in the house.
im not too keen about the avengers, quite frankly i preferred the xmen and batman when i was growing up. captain america was for me a great counterpart to batman in the dc world. unlike tony stark, his was from humble beginnings, always trying to encapsulate the americana of american middle class. i grew up to the cartoon too, and well, even the hulks as well.
i digress... this was a great movie. the first one could knock you off your socks at times, but at times it was more or less a character building stepstone. know the man, know the history, know the story.
this one was better, it was aside from iron mans first movie, a great introduction to the second fold of the series marvel has promised us. sure thor was there, but it felt more focused on his character and his planet rather than the 'storyline' in a larger scale. i liked certain scenes here, and quite frankly, there was a couple of thuds that made me realize the theater i was in was up to par for it. definitely calibrated well enough, but made me really consider buying a true subwoofer.
great movie, a must see in theaters, and as ive mentioned in my title, it shows that marvel, despite the years it has brought us into its universe, is showing more age and respect to the comic driven stories. i saw trailers for xmen, but wasnt fascinated as much, likewise with spiderman (which is filling in quite nicely, just not a spidey fan)...
nota bene,
i saw a trailer for LUCY, man, if you want to see one movie, this would be my choice.
