The Bill of Rights is not negotiable

I wouldn't be so sure. This gun push is just like the stimulus. The political oligarchy operates on emotion and spontaneity instead of logic and deliberation, even more so with the house acting defensively, dazed, and confused. Pass into law with instantaneous challenging litigation, operate by fiat, regulate beyond the scope, act unilaterally, and then let the courts figure it out. It's awful, as evidenced by obamacare. Reminds me of an awesome article I just read: http://statenislandpolitics.wordpress.c ... a-reality/
