My wife is a big fan of scary movies...I hate them. I spent my entire time covering my ears and eyes and was scared s***less. In real life I know I'm a man. In movies, when you have no control, I hate being scared. Real life gives you the ability to react and fight. Movies...none.

Now that you know my stance on these films, I will say the story and plot line and build up of scary was really good. A really solid film and I must say I am a fan of Vera Farmiga. Not the supermodel look but she is very beautiful to me.

Long story short, if you like scares and a quality storyline and plot, see it. I'd never see it again because I hate these films. But again, I'm not a perfect judge.

BMW you wussy MAN UP!!!!!

My buddy whose a very very large black man told me this movie scared the shit out of him to. Looking forward to dragging my GF kicking and screaming to this one. I love scary movies she abhors them.

MatthewB, I did the same. Kicking and screaming. It is intense. I'd rather fight the big black friend of yours versus see that movie again. Lol. I'm sure we'd fight hard but at least I have a say in it. Movies with their soundtracks and purposely placed sound effects mess with me. If I saw it at home I'd turn down the volume and sit a ways away from the screen.

Meh, the wife and I saw this Saturday evening and we were not impressed. I think there was only one instance where pretty much the entire audience screamed and/or jumped. We don't watch a lot of horror movies so I definitely thought I'd be more scared by this film based on reviews but everything seemed to be telegraphed so there wasn't much anticipation...
