Anyone else watching this? I think it's extraordinarily well done. And what fascinates me most is how much my 13 yo daughter likes this show, too. When I was a kid/teenager, I hated with a passion anything to do with history. I've come around quite a bit on that score, and I'm pleased that my kid finds the historical perspective interesting. I have to pause the show now and then to attempt to explain my understanding of the larger political context of what's happening in the show. Not that I'm any expert in British monarchy, by any stretch, but I've been inspired to do some basic reading about the Windsor family, and Churchill (who Lithgow does an amazing job of portraying despite my initial skepticism in that regard), and the events around this era.

Really good stuff, highly recommended.

It's got to be better than this steaming pile of his historical inaccuracies wrapped in anachronistic music that my wife has gotten into.

I watched it when it first came out on Netflix.

I have a degree in history and as a bit of an anglophile was interested in seeing how it portrayed this time in history. Very well IMO. I would highly reccomend and ama waiting for a season 2.

I am enjoying it. But I wish it were produced after QE-II had passed. I would love to see the same story with some of the ugly details the establishment currently cannot let be known.

I'm home from work today (nursing a ridiculous headache) and decided to check it out. I'm gonna have to revisit the first episode because I dozed off for a good 30-40 minutes of it. BUT I'm streaming it via WiFi on a non HDR, 4K set and the picture is the best I've seen from Netflix 4K so far, I'm blown away. What actual content I've managed to see has been good and I can see myself enjoying the show.
