In our seemingly never ending quest to complete all the Zelda console games (at least those played in the 3rd person) my son Daniel just began playing Skyward Sword. Originally released in 2011 for the Wii it received a 10/10 on IGN when it was reviewed. I have started it on 3 different occasions over the years and never made it past the first temple. I admit that it was difficult for me to make the time to play and I also found the motion controls a little frustrating. Daniel just picked up where I left off and completed the first temple. As usual the graphic limitations of the Wii don’t make the game look like a high powered PC game, and the game shows it’s age but the graphics are sufficient and work fine for an 7 yo game. I’ve also heard this is the longest/biggest Zelda quest (before Breath of the Wild was released anyway) so I wonder if Nintendo held back on the graphics to make the game larger? Nintendo is all about gameplay/story first and foremost and so far this is another Zelda title that delivers.
