We're thinking about taking the kids tomorrow in IMAX 3D...

All Ive heard about it is from right-winger talk show hosts whining that the movie is anti corporations and designed to help create a generation of occu-tots. I want to spend a bunch of money on this just to spite them.

Do those fools not have better things to do? . . . . like get their heads out of the toilet

I don't know anything about the movie, and I don't know if it is or isn't designed to be brainwashing kids, but the idea that movies are used to change people's thinking - as in propaganda - is not a huge stretch for someone to accept. Movies are constantly used to make children think a certain way in hopes of making them think differently from their parents. The question is which side are you on when you see such a movie? If you agree with its message, you love it. If you disagree, you hate it.

My aggravation is with those that question my ability to help form my children's opinions because I (and my kids) are too stupid to be entertained without becoming mindless slaves to whatever agenda may be behind the movie.

^ Hollywood is political, isn't it? Given that, one has to be wary of their products.

I just watched Cars 2 and couldn't believe how much political message this animation has.

A quote from an e-mail from my sister . . . .

"Hey! Talked to Derek yesterday, and the family went to see this movie and loved it."

Just got back from Florida, and they were selling Lorax Tree Hugger tee shirts at Universal. Kind of makes me not want to see it if it has that big of an agenda.
