That's fair with three Batman, a Superman, three Iron Man, two Captain America, and two Spiderman movies. I get that not everyone was raised on these books like I was. But, I have bad news for you if you haven't heard already...

Age of Ultron and Ant-Man will release in 2015. Then Marvel's "phase 3" picks up in 2016 and includes nine movies through 2019.

Captain America 3: Civil War spring 2016
Doctor Strange fall 2016
Guardians of the Galaxy 2 spring 2017
Thor: Ragnarok summer 2017
Black Panther fall 2017
Infinity War (the third Avengers movie) spring 2018
Captain Marvel summer 2018
Inhumans fall 2018
Infinity War: Part II (the fourth Avengers movie) spring 2019

No plans so far for Black Widow, Hawkeye, or Hulk movies but they will appear in the other movies. I'll spare you the details of DC's movie agenda.

If I had to venture a guess off the top of my head, I'd say between Marvel and DC/WB, there's about 30 +/- "comic book" movies on the release schedule. So get used to it as long as they're making BIG $$$. Which they will for the long term foreseeable future....and that's not even taking the Star Wars franchise into account.

Here's a timeline...

I hope you're right. But just a couple of duds can derail that train for a long time. These movies are not cheap to produce and the movie going public can be fickle. What's encouraging is that the studios appear to have learned from past mistakes and seek out producers and directors who know and respect the characters and the story lines.

Honestly I just never read them. Comics were available my brother read a little and they were around the house. Me and my brother were more into sports. The Kansas City Chiefs were good the AFL was intriguing to us. We watched then went out and played then watched some more. Our childhood was playing football,Baseball and basketball. When we weren't doing that we were taking our bb guns to the woods and stalking squirrels and rabbits. when we weren't playing sandlot sports with the neighbor kids we were begging Dad to take us hunting with him. There just wasn't that much time for comics.

I guess my breaking point for watching these movies was Man of Steel. My Son,Daughter Wife and I sat bored through this kids were restless. Then the pinball game of bounce off the building's of Metropolis began. It went on and on and on and on. When it finally ended I wanted to stand up and scream about time. What probably took only 10 minutes seemed like 1 hour. We dint see another till the second Thor released to Netflix. My son and I sat down began watch less than an hour in my son gets up goes back to his room and turns on the xbox and plays minecraft. I made another 10 minutes cut it off then sealed it and sent back to Netflix unfinished. I maxed out I guess.

I think a couple duds can derail a character, but I don't think there's a chance, anytime soon, that the genre is going to subside. If you consider Superman: The Movie was the first mainstream character to get a major release in '78, studios have been cranking them out for 37 years...

I'll say!

An "extended" trailer was found but only adds an extra second or two of Spader's voice of Ultron along with a few more angry robots.

...for this movie to come out.

On a side note.....

How important is the Agents of Shield series to the Avengers storyline? The show is starting to lose me to be honest. It seems to get cheesier and cheesier with each episode. Colson, and Fitz are about the only characters I like on that show.

It was...somewhere between pretty good and really good. Felt very much like a bridge between major Marvel tent pole movies (even though it was a tent pole movie itself). The beginning 1/4 felt a little "the gang's all here, so just think it is awesome even though it might not be" to me...then it started picking up quickly from there. The last half was pretty damn good.

Having said that, I brought my son to it the other day and he loved it. I'll be going back to watch it again with my wife.

Took the wife to Hooters and then saw this afterwards. I know, not the best Mothers Day present, but she wanted to go. We both really liked the movie. Plus, got to see the Star Wars trailer on the big screen.
