The things he does to that bass in that song and that solo, are illegal in all but 3 states.

I will never forget the first time I actually listened to the bass line in "The Real Me". I was transformed. I would love to be able to play that song the way he plays it.

John Entwistle was seriously basstastic.
 
He was a true master of that instrument and there are few in my opinion that come close........

I found other bass stuff on youtube today while at work and if I have time on Monday, I will try to find them again and post.

I always said "That if I wasn't a keyboard player, my instrument of choice would be BASS".

Iowa State University, ~1980, 4th row Center Stage. I'm not a huge Who fan but that was still the best live concert I'll probably ever witness. Moon was gone by then; the rest of the band, scary good.
