The Ten Best Halloween movies?

An American Werewolf in London.

I like that better than anything in that link. I am old school horror.

Black Christmas.

Rope

By far one of the best "The Collector" 2009.

And one of the creepiest foreign movies I've ever seen. This one freaked me the Hell out. "Audition".

Some of those are the wrong vibe for the holiday. I prefer movies like Sleepy Hollow and Red Riding Hood that have the "ghost story" vibe. I also like to watch some arguably terrible supernatural actioners like I, Frankenstein, Van Helsing and of course, Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters.

Agree (somewhat). I like the classic movie monster flicks from the 30s-50s.

A little late to the party, but how about:

  • Se7en
    The Sixth Sense
    Stir of Echoes
    Beetlejuice
    The Grudge
    They Live
    The Exorcist
    The Devil's Backbone
    The Shining

Other than the Se7en and They Live, they all have a supernatural element to them.

And I think Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters got a bad rap... both the wife and I thought it was a fun movie.

^ Hansel & Gretel was so absurd and over the top (in a good way I suppose :happy-smileygiantred: ) it's in the "so bad it's good" category for me.

^^ exactly. It didn't take it take itself seriously and the acting wasn't horrible.

And I don't mind watching this...
