TV for my Son

Hey guys, my 13 year old has asked for a HD TV for his room in order to play HD games on his Xbox. He also hopes to be able to watch HD TV in his room, although that aint happening anytime soon. At any rate, I thought it was a pretty smart request because a good set will last him through college hopefully. My thinking was something around the 22" size and I'd like to stay below $250.00. I know there are several options in this price range, but I am curious what the best bang for the buck is?

My first thought is a computer monitor. You should be able to find a 24" w/ HDMI inputs for your price range. Many also have speakers at that price point as well.
